Hi-CaLM Delivery
The first of two dilution fridge systems funded by the EPSRC grant ‘High Frequency Cryogenics at Leeds and Manchester’ award was delivered to the University of Manchester today. The Bluefors LD400-based system will provide access to quantum device characterisation at temperatures <10 mK, is equipped to operate at frequencies up to 40 GHz, and incorporates a 9-1-1 T vector magnet. Once installed and operational it will provide researchers with access to these capabilities, and will complement a second system to be established at the University of Leeds equipped for THz studies. User access routes to both systems will be communicated in due course. In the meantime please contact Prof Richard Curry (richard.curry@manchester.ac.uk) or Prof John Cunningham (j.e.cunningham@leeds.ac.uk) for further details.
